The philosophy of herbal medicine is to discover and heal the cause(s) of imbalance/illness in the body, thereby eliminating the need for the body to produce a symptom, or messenger. Of course an acute situation must be treated in order to relieve pain and suffering; then the true healing is approached from a deeper level. For example, if your child is suffering with recurring ear infections, the pain will of course be addressed immediately, then the cause of the infections needs to be addressed to prevent recurrences. Repeated rounds of antibiotics are seldom a permanent solution. A qualified herbalist can help you discover the cause(s) and guide you in making educated decisions about how to achieve and maintain healthy ears. The same goes for many other ailments including colds, flu, high blood pressure, digestive issues, urinary tract problems, prostate health, hormone imbalances of menopause and PMS, chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, fibrocystic breast condition, uterine fibroids..... the list is endless. About the Misty Meadows practitioners

Wendy Snow Fogg, founder of Misty Meadows, is a Senior Herbalist whose journey with the healing plants began in 1984.
She is a Shamanic Reiki Master Teacher, a Karuna Reiki® Master and incorporates Reiki as a major component of her herbal healing practice. She also enlists the tools of flower essences, ear candling, reflexology and muscle testing, as well as facial, tongue and pulse diagnosis. Wendy's practice includes working with all health imbalances. Her specialty is Lyme Disease, and she is the creator of the first multi-level herbal protocol to treat Lyme Disease in all its stages.

She also enjoys working with women in all stages of their journeys from puberty to post-menopause, and has worked quite successfully to help infertile couples have successful pregnancies and births.

Wendy's keen listening skills, clarity and intuitive abilities play a major role in helping clients work through the dis-covery process that is an integral part of everyone's healing. Wendy sees clients at Misty Meadows on Wednesday/Thursday/Friday by appointment.

Initial appointments are typically 90 minutes to 2 hours in length and often consist of gathering your health history, Reiki treatment, discussion and recommendations of remedies and dietary modifications.

Cindy Bir is a Native Mohawk Healer and Earth Worshipper. She has studied pagan religion as well as Native American spirituality. Cindy has a fiery way of looking at life and can often be seen listening to others and seeking the wisdom that they offer to live well with the earth and people around them.

She is an Eclectic Reiki Master/Teacher, Run Valdr Healer (using the Ancient Runes to heal) as well as an energy worker. Cindy uses her knowledge and intuition, guided by many spirits and elemental guides to help her clients to walk their own healing path.

Cindy will be offering Reiki, Run Valdr and Crystal Healing sessions. Cindy is available Wednesday/Thursday Friday. To make an appointment, call Misty Meadows at 659-7211.

Sara M. Woods Kender is a Certified Herbalist and Reiki Practitioner. She has had several years of training under Wendy Snow Fogg founder and owner of Misty Meadows Herbal Center and has also been trained by other nationally known herbalists including Amanda Mcquade Crawford, Mary Bove, ND, Matthew Wood, David Winston, Margi Flint, Candis Cantin & others. Her training is a mixture of the Western Herbalism approach, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. Her specialties include respiratory illness, high cholesterol and hypertension, Lyme Dis-ease, allergies, menopause, endocrine imbalances & preventative approaches to health. She incorporates dietary and lifestyle changes along with herbs and supplements to help people form a complete path to health & wellness. She also uses Reiki as an energetic modality crucial in completing this overall approach to balance.

Herbs and pharmaceuticals don't always combine safely. It's very important that we see the actual bottles, please.

Preparing for Your Appointment
Please come to your appointment with no makeup or nail polish.
Please do not brush your teeth/tongue for at least 2 hours before your appointment.
This is important for facial, tongue and nail diagnosis.

You're welcome to bring your makeup with you and apply it before you leave.
