NH Herbal Network is pleased to present our 2nd Annual Herbal Harvest Thyme event!

Herbal Harvest Thyme is presented by NH Herbal Network and modeled after the popular annual spring event, Herb & Garden Day, where herbal educators and seasoned growers from all walks of life will come together to share their unique knowledge and build upon a tapestry of age old wisdom about trees and seeds, herbs and plants, and the power of nature to heal.

Herbal Harvest Thyme will feature:

* Plant and Mushroom Identification Walks

* Children’s Activities

* Vendors, Herbal Market and Plant Sale

* Raffles, and more!

The event is open to the public. The programming represents a variety of interests and caters to all skill levels – from the curious seekers and intrepid plant lovers to herbal entrepreneurs and natural health advocates, Herbal Harvest Thyme has something for everyone.

Between workshops, attendees shop from local vendors at the Vendor Market, a unique collection of local herbalists, farmers, crafters, gardeners, artists and environmental and agricultural organizations.

Backyard Farming Initiative- Local Harvest and How to Use It

Local Harvest and How to Use It

We will meet with a group of local chefs and presenters who will talk about a variety of food types. These will include grains and how to harvest, store and use them, Fresh and aged foods and how to harness the best flavors from them, foods that are alive, such as cheeses or yogurts and foods that are dead, such as canned or frozen goods, and foraging for herbs and seasoning, thinking about what is growing wild and how we can use it.

During these programs we will sample delicious foods, learn new recipes, and discover wonderful new information about the program topics. Do you remember the old nursery rhyme Pease Porridge Hot? It goes like this…

“Pease porridge hot, Pease porridge cold, Pease porridge in the pot, nine days old; Some like it hot, some like it cold, Some like it in the pot, nine days old”

Did you sing this rhyme to your children or grandchildren? What does it mean? Come to our Lee Backyard Farming Initiative winter programming to find out!

Tea & Tarot Salon

Come shake off the Midwinter Dark for a relaxing and fun few hours of Tarot skill-sharing and tea!

We’ll start off the evening with a brief introduction to card divination and Tarot in general and then flow into discussions, practice readings and skill shares.

Do you have a favorite deck you want to share or maybe one that you’re having a hard time connecting with? Are you a novice reader ready to try a few readings out in a relaxed environment. Do you always pull the same few cards and wonder what that means for you? Is there an amazing spread you want to share?  Have you ever wanted to try out some other types of card divination like Oracle or Lenormand Decks? Please come and join us. We’ll provide the tea, a cozy fireplace, and some of our own personal decks for you to peruse. Please bring your Tarot Decks (or Oracle or Lenormand), a teacup and your love of Divination with you. Since this is a fun and informal event, a personal Tarot reading is not guaranteed.

Tea & Tarot is appropriate for Tarot users of all skill levels from the newest novice to seasoned readers!
